MediCom
Austco’s MediCom nurse call system is specifically designed to provide a total and reliable 24-hour, 365 days a year performance for use in acute care facilities.
MediCom enables nurses to provide prompt and effective responses to patients’ calls at all times. Embracing solid state, electronic technology and software, MediCom incorporates a comprehensive and flexible range of call types, priority levels, alarm handling and call indication options configurable to best suit the operational needs of any hospital.
Integrated with Austco’s state-of-the-art paging and telephony capabilities, such as wireless telephones, MediCom allows nurses to receive and respond to patient calls while moving freely around their units — increasing staff efficiency.
Patients can activate calls using a palm sized, easy-to-grip, one button pendant or by using Austco’s multi-function entertainment handset.
Alarm handling and call indication options range from easy-to-use nursing stations with over door lights and modern alphanumeric color displays and alarm tones to systems with advanced computerized central stations. These stations include VDU monitors and a database and software that can be configured to suit any clinical unit requirement and can interface to HL7-compatible patient information systems.
ConnexALL
A key component to the Austco solution set is Globestar’s ConnexALL software platform. ConnexALL provides unified wireless communication and care systems integration to optimize organization performance.
In addition to nurse call systems, ConnexALL is designed to integrate with numerous event notification systems such as security, access control networks, HVAC, communication systems, fire alarm panels, patient monitoring, and other specialized equipment. ConnexALL allows configurable event notification to various wireless solutions, including public PCS phones, pagers, PDAs, tablet PCs and Vocera devices.
