When Installing Vocera, Service Pack First, then Disable Windows Updates!

It is highly recommended that customers install all current MS Service Packs and Hot Fixes prior to installing Vocera Communications software. Once a Vocera server is built, make sure to then turn off “Automatic Updates.”
To Disable Automatic Updates using Control Panel Tools
- Click Start, and then either click Control Panel, or point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
- Click System, and then click the Automatic Updates tab.
- In the Automatic Updates dialog box, clear the Keep my computer up to date check box.
Note that Microsoft specific updates and hot fixes are approved for manual installation; however, do not install updates and/or patches for the following software:
- Java
- Tomcat
- Apache
- MySQL
